It Gets Bitter and is a one act dramedy for a Drag Queen and pianist that deals with disownment and acceptance of queer people within the Jewish family and community. The show is directed by Eric Parness, and features drag performances, live music, song and dance ,video art and tons of dark humor.
In the show, actor Aaron Latta-Morissette takes on the role of an orthodox Jewish teenager who comes to terms with his sexuality, and Greenfeld plays his mother, based on his Chassidic Drag persona “Abbi Gezunt”. The show premiered in the “Queer Jewish Arts Festival” in Baltimore MD, last June, and is planned to return to New York City in 2023.
