Abbi G’zunt is an opinionated Jewish Mother from the Five Towns, N.Y, who loves the Torah and loves talking about it. She is currently headlining her first web-series “House of Midrash” - a tidbit of ancient commentary on the Torah portions read in Synagogues, weekly. In these short monologues, Abbi presents a single idea from the trove of post biblical commentary, topped with glamour and camp. Read about the project here.

Abbi was first conceptualized as the lead character in the 2018 workshop of “It Gets Bitter”, originally directed by Antonio Minino, and co-starring James Rushin.  During the summer of 2020 Abbi launched her screen career with her Jewtorials, explaining the meaning behind the different Jewish holidays.

In 2022, “It Gets Bitter” was expanded into a full length play that premiered at the “Queer Jewish Arts Festival” in Baltimore, MD. Abbi reprised her role as the mother of an orthodox teenager, played by actor Aaron Latta Morissette, and the show was directed by Eric Parents, featuring original costumes designed by Yamil DeJesus and video-art  by NB Studios.
